About

All pots are attached and supported securely by a strong supporting multi-channeled stem. The Wall Planter comes packaged in an attractive retail box and contains six self-watering planters, six drainage grids and two supporting stems with connector and fastening equipment. Each tier has individual self-watering pots with their own water reservoirs and soil separating grids

You have the choice of either having two sets with three pot planters each or an attractive full display of the kit combined with six planters, and you don’t have to stop there all kits can interconnect and provide a continuance of display as high as you wish as a modular stacker by simply purchasing additional kits.

Installation Instructions

The kit comes with fastening equipment to mount the Wall Planter onto a wooden or masonry surface.
You may also mount the Wall Planter onto a steel post or pillar, however you will need to acquire suitable bolts, washers and nuts (not included) but available from any hardware store.

Wooden Surface
Position the black supporting stem onto the mounting surface where you intend to hang the kit.
Using a no. 2 sized phillips head screw driver or driver bit attached to a power drill install the first screw into the bottom hole of the supporting stem ensuring that it screws in securely. (suppled screws are self drilling and will bed in easily).

Before proceeding to install the second screw into the top hole of the supporting stem adjust the stem to align it perfectly perpendicular. When installation of second screw is complete proceed to attach each pot.

Depending on your preferred stacking configuration slide the bottom tier of empty pot or pots onto the supporting stem. Each pot has a 'T' shaped tab on the back surface, these fit into a corresponding channel within the supporting stem.

Ensure that you slide the first tier completely down the channel until the small recessed overhang on the lower portion of the back surface of the pot seats snuggly over the hook or supporting finger formations on the connector portion attached to the bottom of the supporting stem.

If you are attatching the kit onto a bumpy or uneven surface you may need to loosen screws a little to slide pots down the stem more easily, and then retighten screws.

Slide top tier onto supporting stem in a similar fashion but offset to the bottom tier and that is your first half set of a three pot planter configuration.

If your choice is to display a six pot configuration simply insert the connector portion attached to the bottom of the second supporting stem provided into the centre channel hole located in the top of the first supporting stem you have already installed ensuring that it fully connects.

Proceed to install the remaining screws and pots in the same manner as your first installation.
Fit each pot with one irrigation grid, cup shapes pointing downward then plant up each pot using a good quality potting mixture settling 1.5 cm (half an inch) below the lip in each pot.

Masonry Surface
Attachment to a masonry surface is the same as for a wooden surface, however you will need to install the star plugs (provided) into the masonry prior to attaching screws. You will need a power drill and a 6.5 mm or quarter inch masonry drill bit to do this.

The lid of this box has two small blue dots printed on it. They are positioned the exact distance apart to install your star plugs. Remove the lid from the box and use this as a template to drill through and into the masonry about 4 cm (1 and a half inchs) deep.

Install star plugs by gently tapping them into the holes freshly drilled and attach by screwing through the supporting stem and into the installed star plugs and then assemble same as previously outlined.

When mounting upon wall cladding ensure that you screw through and into a hidden beam or stud.

Growing Tips

Select the right mounting position to suit the type of plants you wish to grow. For example choose an all day full sun position for those sun loving plants like herbs, vegetables and sun loving annuals.

Apply a liquid fertilizer once every four weeks and give the foliage a light spray with clean water. Use a good quality potting mixture or organic compost in the case of vegetables and herbs.

Each growing area holds a huge 4 litres of compost or growing media suitable for vigorous demanding plants like vegetables.
